This Privacy Policy explains how Fi Alsika (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Fi Alsika mobile application and related services operated at fealsika.goosek.com.
1. Who we are
Fi Alsika (في السكة) is a public-transport companion app that helps you plan trips across metro, bus, LRT, and other modes in Egypt.
The app and this website are operated by Fi Alsika.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may process the following categories of data:
- Device identifiers and technical data: a stable device ID, device model, operating-system version, and app version.
- App security data: a device-generated public key, signed request metadata, and a one-way hash of platform attestation tokens (for example Google Play Integrity) used to protect API access. We do not store raw attestation tokens.
- Optional feedback you submit: ratings, comments, trip feedback, station crowd reports, and issue reports.
- Push notification token (FCM), if you allow notifications, so we can send service-related messages.
- Network metadata such as IP address and request timestamps, used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
3. Information stored on your device
Some preferences and saved routes are stored locally on your phone using on-device storage (for example SQLite). This data stays on your device unless you choose to send it to our servers through a feature that requires network access.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide routing, fares, and transport information.
- Authenticate the official app and protect our APIs from abuse.
- Improve service quality through optional crowd and feedback features.
- Respond to reports and maintain the security and stability of our systems.
5. Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We may use infrastructure providers (such as hosting, cloud, and push-notification services) strictly to operate the service. Those providers process data only on our instructions and for the purposes described in this policy.
6. Retention and deletion
Feedback and operational logs are kept only as long as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, then deleted or aggregated.
When you submit optional feedback, it is processed for the stated purpose and removed from active processing after that purpose is fulfilled, in line with the notice shown in the app.
Security and session records may be retained longer where required to prevent fraud or abuse.
7. Your choices
You can decline optional feedback features in the app. You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
Clearing app data or uninstalling the app removes locally stored information from your device.
8. Children
The service is intended for general audiences. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us using the in-app feedback channel and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures—including signed requests, rate limiting, and access controls—to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to reduce risk to a reasonable level.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
